Job Summary
Join Ignite Achievement Academy as an After School Program Aide on the North Campus to supervise and engage students with autism and other learning differences in a safe, structured environment after school. Responsibilities include supervising students in indoor/outdoor activities, facilitating games, crafts, sensory activities, and social interaction opportunities, assisting with transitions, homework support, and maintaining a welcoming program space. Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, patience, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced setting are essential. Prior experience with students with autism or developmental disabilities, and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred. This is a part-time role, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–5:00 PM, starting August 24, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to work consistently during scheduled program hours
- Patience, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to actively supervise students indoors and outdoors
- Preferred: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Preferred: Former or current special education teacher, teaching assistant, or paraprofessional experience
- Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
