Job Summary
Lead after-school digital music production sessions for beginner to intermediate students using beginner-friendly digital tools (BandLab, Soundtrap, or GarageBand) to guide students through creating original music, beats, and complete tracks. Courses emphasize hands-on, project-based learning with topics including beat-making, looping, layering, melodies, chords, song structure, and basic mixing; support tech setup and troubleshooting; adapt instruction to different skill levels and site technology; and help prepare a culminating project or showcase when applicable. No formal teaching experience is required; ideal for musicians, producers, and creatives who enjoy working with students.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits (completed or in progress)
- Experience with a DAW (BandLab, Soundtrap, GarageBand, or similar)
- Experience working with students (schools, camps, tutoring, or youth programs)
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
