Job Summary
Implement course curriculum and assist with its development by working with teaching assistants to create lesson plans. Lead classes with elementary students from 2:30pm to 5:00PM, guiding them through brainstorming, shooting, and post-production to create original narrative short films. Supervise children during transitions and oversee teaching assistants while requesting supplies from the Site Supervisor in advance. Communicate regularly with the Site Supervisor and/or Director about student progress and plan culminating events at the end of each cycle.
Required Qualifications
- Subject-matter expertise in a field consistent with the subject taught
- Patient, kind and friendly
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and correct conduct and performance of adults and children
- Able to manage and give priority to multiple tasks
- Exhibits creativity and innovativeness working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to use own initiative, sound judgment, tact and diplomacy
Desired Qualifications
- University degree (preferred)
