Job Summary
Responsible for leading and supporting children in the After School Program during educational and recreational activities. Duties include monitoring student behavior, ensuring safety, communicating with parents and staff, preparing snacks, and maintaining student attendance. Requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to handle student discipline, and a commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Candidates should have experience working with school-age children and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 460 verifiable hours of experience working with elementary school age children
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Criminal background check required for hire prior to working with children
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification required prior to working with children
- Standard precautions certification prior to working with children
- Medication Administration certifications within 30 days of hire
- Colorado Immunization training if required
- Must have a current physical before starting work
- Must complete current state required annual continuing education
