Job Summary
Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system to develop students' character and sense of community while facilitating planned enrichment and recreational activities for groups of 12-18 students. Provide leadership for after school programming that enhances academic skill development, fosters self-esteem, and supports college/career readiness. Establish cooperative relationships with students and families, attend scheduled meetings to coordinate program design and evaluation, and track data weekly and monthly for reporting. Work directly under the Site Coordinator to organize schedules and implement campus-wide initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach
- Experience working with youth (formal or informal)
- Experience working in a classroom/school setting (formal or informal)
- Must attach an official or unofficial transcript to the application in order to verify GPA and credit hours earned
- Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
- Ability to track data weekly and monthly for reporting
