Job Summary
Facilitate after-school programming for priority students with a focus on academic support, enrichment opportunities, and college/career readiness. Work 2–2.5 hours after school, collaborate with campus principals and the After School Coordinator to align programs with school priorities, implement a clear behavior-management system, provide enrichment/recreation leadership for groups of 12–18 students, and help develop students’ cognitive capacity, self-esteem, and motivation. Supervisory structure includes direct supervision by the Site Coordinator and regular coordination with the Project Director to design, evaluate, and refine program activities. Requires current college enrollment (up to 15 credits) or professional certification, demonstrated experience with youth, classroom/school settings, and ability to track data for reporting. Additionally, there is a relocation allowance possibility through IDEA Public Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Current college enrollment, up to 15 college hours, or professional certification in the subject you will teach
- Experience working with youth (formal or informal) and experience working in a classroom/school setting
- Must attach an official or unofficial transcript to the application in order to verify GPA and credit hours earned
