Job Summary
Lead structured, engaging after-school drumline sessions for beginner-to-intermediate students, focusing on basic playing techniques, rhythm, timing, rudiments, sticking patterns, and ensemble skills; guide rehearsals and prepare students for culminating performances when applicable; adapt instruction to varied skill levels; maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment; communicate attendance and progress with program staff; opportunities for performance demonstrations and flexible, part-time scheduling at Los Angeles partner schools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits (completed or in progress)
- Experience in drumline or marching percussion (performance and/or instruction)
- Experience working with students (schools, camps, or youth programs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
