Job Summary
Lead engaging project-based animation sessions after school, teaching basics of animation, timing, and storytelling. Guide students through topics such as animation basics, storyboarding, character/background design, frame-by-frame animation, stop-motion, and motion graphics using browser-based tools (e.g., Wick Editor) and Chromebooks. Deliver a weekly enrichment class for ~10 weeks with flexible pacing, adapts activities to student age and available technology, and fosters aCreative, respectful classroom environment. Communicate with school staff and Concorde program coordinators and guide students toward completing a final animation project. Ideal for teachers, teaching assistants, college students studying animation or design, digital artists, or creative professionals seeking flexible part-time work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 60 college credits
- Experience with animation, digital media, or motion graphics
- Experience working with school-age students (school, camp, tutoring, etc.)
- Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable using Chromebooks and web-based creative tools
