After-School Daycare Worker - Part-Time

Job Summary
Lead a small group of Wood Elementary students enrolled in the after-school daycare program, designing engaging and safe lesson plans while maintaining appropriate communication with parents. Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of all children by serving as a professional role model at all times. Participate in assigned local and state training and perform other duties necessary to maintain a quality program for elementary-aged children. Work mostly light hours involving walking, bending, or sitting on the floor, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Present from 2:30 to 6:30 pm, including scheduled early release days from 11:30 to 6:30 pm, following the Lexington School District Two calendar.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Staff will be present from 2:30-6:30 pm
- Staff will be present on scheduled early release days (11:30-6:30 pm)
- Follows Lexington School District Two's school calendar for student attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in working with elementary age students
