Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision and maintain a safe environment for school-age children during after-school programs. Engage participants in meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events across arts, STEM, literacy, and physical fitness. Prepare the learning environment, organize supplies, and support Activity Specialists in implementing field trips and performances. Develop positive relationships with parents through regular communication about student growth and strengths. Ensure groups are in ratio and maintain a strength-based atmosphere sensitive to diverse learning needs. Report daily to the immediate supervisor regarding any concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
