Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision at all times to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of school-age children in the after-school program. Engage participants in meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events across arts, STEM, literacy, and physical fitness while maintaining a safe, strength-based atmosphere. Prepare the learning environment, organize supplies, and support Activity Specialists with implementation, including planning field trips and performances. Keep the immediate supervisor informed daily of any concerns regarding participants, staff, or the facility. Develop positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child's progress. Ensure groups are in ratio and attend all required training sessions. This role requires safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must be able to obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
