Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision and maintain a safe, positive environment for school-age children during after-school programs. Engage participants in meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events covering arts, STEM, literacy, and character development while assisting with homework and preparing the learning environment. Support activity specialists, plan field trips and performances, and ensure proper group ratios. Maintain cleanliness, organize supplies, and act as a positive role model for youth with diverse needs. Develop relationships with parents through regular updates on their child's growth. Ensure safety compliance, attend required training, and maintain communication devices for daily operational updates.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must be able to obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
