Job Summary
Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development within our after school setting. Guide kids through daily programs while modeling wholeheartedness and serving as a role model for their community. Maintain a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year, working an average of 17-20 hours per week as a non-exempt part-time staff member. Possess a passion for working with children, valid driver's license, and dependable transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
- Must be at least 17 years of age
- Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
- Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
- Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification
- Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
- Valid driver's license or Valid ID
- Legally allowed to work in the United States
- Have dependable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- some post-secondary training highly preferred
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
