Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of school-age children during after-school programs. Engage participants in meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events covering arts, STEM, character development, literacy, and physical fitness. Prepare the learning environment, maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies, and ensure groups remain in proper ratio. Support the planning and implementation of activities, including field trips and performances, while assisting Activity Specialists. Serve as a positive role model, maintain a strength-based atmosphere for students with diverse needs, and develop positive relationships with parents through regular communication. Attend all required training sessions and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
