Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of school-age children during after-school programs. Engage participants in structured, age-appropriate activities covering arts, STEM, literacy, and physical fitness while maintaining a clean, organized learning environment. Support activity specialists, plan field trips and special events, and ensure proper group ratios are maintained. Develop positive relationships with parents through regular updates on student strengths and growth. Serve as a positive role model for participants with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Maintain safety clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health. Report daily to the immediate supervisor regarding any concerns. This role is part-time, Monday through Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, with a salary of $18/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must be able to obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
