Job Summary
Provide appropriate supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of school-age children during after-school programs. Engage participants in meaningful activities, lesson plans, and special events covering arts, STEM, literacy, and character development. Prepare the learning environment, maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces, and ensure proper group ratios. Support Activity Specialists with implementation, assist with homework, and facilitate trips and performances. Maintain positive relationships with parents through regular communication about student strengths and growth. Serve as a positive role model while attending all required training sessions and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma
- Must have reliable communication/computer devices at home with the capacity to access the internet consistently to respond to organizational emails as well as complete training before the start of work (if needed)
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift or move objects/materials as needed
- Must be able to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration
- Must obtain safety and security clearances through the Department of Education and Department of Health
