Job Summary
Coordinate the after school care program by completing paperwork for subsidized reimbursement, processing applications, and maintaining the parent handbook. Organize indoor and outdoor recreational activities, plan arts and crafts sessions, and serve afternoon snacks while supervising students, assisting with homework, and evaluating staff. Collect fees and work with the school bookkeeper, fulfilling other duties as assigned by the principal. This non-exempt, part-time role (less than 20 hours/week) runs for 10 months within the Jackson County School System.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate
- completion of at least two years of higher education
- completion of an associate's degree
- Experience working with children
- First Aid/CPR certification
- BSAC (Basic School Age Care Training)
