Job Summary
Provide, instruct, and participate in activities including homework assistance, physical recreation, skill building, and creative projects for Pre-K through 5 students. Supervise children in the program to promote safety, respect, and a supportive atmosphere while responding to individual needs and maintaining stable relationships with families. Ensure health and safety needs are met by following correct first aid procedures and sign-in/sign-out protocols. Complete other duties as assigned. Available Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher education credential
- Must be available to work, After School: Monday through Friday: 3:30-6:00 PM
- Ability to work well with children
- Experience with leading children/youth activities
- Skilled in developing creative activities for K-5 students
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, the public, and program participants
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and parents
- Demonstrate problem solving ability
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds or more at times
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher education credential, preferred
- Previous experience as a daycare worker, preferred
