Job Summary
Provide, instruct, and participate in activities for Pre-K through 5 students, including homework assistance, recreational programs, and creative projects. Supervise children to promote safety, respect, and self-esteem while maintaining a supportive atmosphere and managing behavior. Respond to individual needs, establish consistent relationships with families, and ensure health and safety protocols are followed, including immediate response to issues and correct first aid administration. Adhere to strict sign-in and sign-out procedures. Work part-time after school hours Monday through Friday from 3:30 to 6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher education credential
- Must be available to work, After School: Monday through Friday: 3:30-6:00 PM
- Ability to work well with children
- Experience with leading children/youth activities
- Skilled in developing creative activities for K-5 students
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, the public, and program participants
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, participants, and parents
- Demonstrate problem solving ability
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds or more at times
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher education credential, preferred
- Previous experience as a daycare worker, preferred
