Job Summary
Provide active supervision of children while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment. Lead activities, support homework and enrichment opportunities, and encourage positive behavior. Assist with planning age-appropriate programs and maintain an organized, clean space. Build relationships with students, families, and staff through consistent engagement and professional communication. Maintain accurate attendance records, complete required documentation, and follow all safety procedures and licensing requirements. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interest in working with children and supporting youth development
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create a positive and supportive environment for children
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of sustained exertion
- Must be able to participate in the physical restraint techniques and exercises required to ensure safety of clients at all times
- Maintain required health and safety training credentials
