Job Summary
Monitor and manage students from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm while preparing and overseeing afterschool snacks. Support students in completing homework and plan meaningful, engaging activities, ensuring safety during all interactions. Effectively communicate with families regarding student pickups and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technology for enhanced staff and family communication. Serve as a model of Catholic faith, embodying Gospel values and representing the teachings of the Church. Adhere strictly to policies outlined in the Family, Faculty, and Staff Handbooks, along with Archdiocese of Denver regulations. Be punctual, maintain consistent attendance, and be mentally and physically capable of lifting children up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- An understanding of and a willingness to embody all that it means to be part of a Catholic community
- Minimum - No degree is required, however, hiring preference will be given to people with degrees, experience, and certifications that support this employment position
- Alignment of professional duties and responsibilities to the belief that every student can learn the skills and dispositions necessary to have an opportunity to attend college
- Inspire a spirit of welcome and service with everyone who encounters the school
- Ensure respectful and appropriate communication of school policies with all community members
- Maintain professional communication including over email and telephone
- Enjoy learning new things
- Listen to others, act with patience, and seek excellence in all that we do
- Serve as a positive and contributing community member
- Ability to perform the job responsibilities of this position
- Be mentally and physically capable of caring for children
- Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
- Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull and carry children up to 50 lbs
