Job Summary
Senior AFSIM Engineer to lead design, development, and implementation of AFSIM-based solutions for EW/EMSO at NSWC Crane. Drive mission analysis, system evaluation, and custom model development; serve as technical lead for AFSIM efforts and guide junior engineers. Develop and extend custom AFSIM models, behaviors, and plugins; architect complex simulation scenarios; integrate AFSIM with other tools; analyze outputs and deliver technical reports and briefings to government stakeholders. Require hands-on AFSIM development, strong programming (Python/C++), DoD experience, and an on-site presence in Crane, IN. Bachelor's degree in a related field and active Secret clearance (TS or higher preferred); willingness to obtain Security+ within 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance required
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related technical field
- Willing to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of start
- 2+ years of experience in modeling and simulation with direct AFSIM development
- Proven ability to develop and customize AFSIM models
- Experience serving in a team lead or technical leadership capacity
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, or similar
- Experience supporting DoD programs, ideally within EW, EMSO, or intelligence domains
- Ability to work on-site in Crane, IN and collaborate in a classified environment
