Job Summary
Lead presenter and supervisor for the Inspiring Histories program in Greenfield Village, coordinating staffing, assignments, and site readiness while delivering engaging historical interpretation and mentoring presenter staff. Conduct daily briefings to communicate operational priorities, safety expectations, and program updates, ensuring presentations remain accurate and aligned with interpretive goals. Monitor the appearance and operation of assigned historic sites, including proper use of period clothing and equipment, while protecting structures and artifacts through appropriate stewardship practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support daily operations, special events, and institutional initiatives, maintaining inventories of supplies and program materials. Foster an inclusive, guest-focused work environment that reflects The Henry Ford's core values.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's license

- Previous supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite
- Experience presenting to public audiences, facilitating educational programs, or working in museums, historic sites, education, or cultural organizations
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings, particularly during seasonal events
- Experience with historic cooking, baking, hearth cooking, or fire tending
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated public speaking and presentation abilities
- Ability to communicate historical content to diverse audiences in an engaging manner
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
