Job Summary
Conduct second-level reviews of files for LIHTC, HUD, HOME, RD, and other program types while providing technical guidance on student rules, income calculations, and layered programs. Review all audit corrections and correspondence, then partner with property managers to troubleshoot challenging compliance cases and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements. Monitor EIV Compliance and assist with HUD Rent Increase paperwork, including UA Baselines. Support the team in meeting deadlines and audit readiness, while helping to train new hires and roll out policy updates. Perform this work remotely from property locations or Navasota and San Antonio, TX areas, with periodic travel to company properties and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of HUD regulations and fair housing compliance
- 5+ years of direct experience in affordable housing compliance, including file review and approval
- Strong working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, HOME, and RD
- Familiarity with audit preparation and layered compliance scenarios
- Strong communication
- EIV Compliance: 3 years (Required)
- LIHTC, RD, HUD, and HOME 3 years (Required)
- Must pass background check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a lead or mentorship role preferred
