Affordable Compliance Manager

Job Summary
Oversee affordable housing compliance across an assigned portfolio by ensuring adherence to federal, state, and agency regulations while preparing for agency audits and onsite reviews. Maintain current SharePoint workbooks, compliance trackers, and department resources; perform peer reviews of manager certifications; and share regulatory updates with the Compliance Department. Mentor Compliance Managers, coordinate training, and resolve complex compliance issues independently. Communicate with Regional Managers, syndicators, and clients to address inquiries and support operational teams. Fill in for other Compliance Managers as needed and report significant audit findings to the Vice President of Compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Significant experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or a related field
- Thorough knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and agency requirements
- Advanced understanding of affordable housing compliance programs and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external stakeholders
- Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently while providing leadership and guidance to others
- Ability to work in a standard office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use
- Occasional travel to properties, client meetings, and training events
