Affixing Lead

Job Summary
Oversee the Finishing department production outputs with leadership to meet quality and delivery targets. Reads work orders, ensures crews have materials, assists in machine start-up and job runs, starts machines, performs trial runs, minimizes downtime, troubleshoots run issues, provides technical support, and monitors quality. Leads continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, trains team members, communicates production information to leads and supervisors, and enforces safety and lockout/tagout procedures. Participates in safety and productivity enhancements and may fill in during callouts, with overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years prior experience working with affixing machines
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
- Able to effectively train and communicate instructions to others
- Computer proficient as it is related to the controls for affixing and wrapping systems
- Ability to read and write instructions and correspondence in English
- Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation
