Job Summary
Conduct professional consultations to determine patient skincare goals and develop care plans. Perform procedures including deep pore cleansing, chemical exfoliation, facials, laser therapy, and skin rejuvenation. Provide patient education on skincare routines and recommend product adjustments. Consult with the physician regarding treatment compliance and document all interactions in the electronic health record. Maintain work areas and equipment in compliance with OSHA standards while managing inventory and ordering supplies. Develop a patient base through referrals and implement marketing plans to achieve sales targets. Participate in staff meetings, mandatory training, and community events.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of elective skin care services, treatments, and products
- Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail
- Knowledge of ADCS policies, including quality assurance policies, OSHA, and other applicable government regulations and standards
- Ability to apply principles of aseptic technique and infection control in the performance of all job duties
- Ability to practice confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations with patient information
- Ability to practice professional ethics and use discretion concerning ADCS directives and proprietary information/trade secrets of the organization
- Ability to practice within the scope of education and training
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to change
- Ability to maintain high level of accuracy in all documentation and in the performance of all job duties
- Skilled in typing/keyboarding
- Skilled in using computers
- High school diploma or GED
- Certificate of completion/diploma from an approved aesthetician program
- Six months of experience as an Aesthetician
- Must be licensed per requirements of the state where employed
- All applicants must have authorization to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- College degree
- Two years of experience working as an Aesthetician in a dermatology practice
