Job Summary
Senior Systems Engineer for Enterprise Systems Engineering supporting national security space programs. On-site, work with government and contractor teams to provide system acquisition, architecting, and engineering expertise across enterprise requirements development, mission design, test planning, and ground-system implementation. Collaborate with military, government civilians, prime contractors, SETA contractors, and national laboratories; contribute to studies and analyses, trace requirements from concept through operations, and enable transition to operations. This role emphasizes coordinating across diverse teams, developing innovative capabilities, and leveraging Aerospace Corporation resources to meet program goals. Requires a US citizenship and an active TS/SCI (or equivalent) security clearance. Minimum: BS in a STEM field and 5+ years of relevant government-program experience; travel ~monthly. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM-related or technical field
- 5 or more years of progressively responsible professional experience working across government programs
- Space system technical background and program experience
- Experience in systems engineering across the mission lifecycle of space systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and establish trusted relationships with government customers, SETA contractors, and key stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately once a month
- Current and active TS/SCI and/or Q security clearance (citizenship required)
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees preferred
