Job Summary

Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and delivery of advanced aerospace and defence systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architectures, manage technical trade-offs, and ensure performance, reliability, and mission success across aerospace, energy, and national security applications. Responsibilities include lifecycle activities (requirements definition, architecture, integration, validation, verification), defining and tracing system-level requirements, coordinating hardware/software/embedded integration, performing trade studies, supporting proposals and program documentation for government/defence/aerospace opportunities, risk identification and mitigation, testing and field deployment, and staying current with evolving aerospace and dual-use technologies to inform system design and product strategy. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years in systems engineering in aerospace/defence environments, expertise in requirements management and lifecycle processes, experience with hardware/software/embedded systems, and familiarity with high-reliability settings; preferred skills include MBSE practices, MBSE tools, system architecture, and advanced degrees.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering within aerospace, defence, or complex hardware environments
  • Demonstrated experience with system integration, requirements management, and lifecycle engineering processes
  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary systems involving hardware, software, and/or embedded components
  • Familiarity with regulated or high-reliability environments (e.g., aerospace, defence, nuclear, or critical infrastructure)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
