Job Summary
Lead the Quality Management System for aerospace operations in the USCA region, ensuring AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance and alignment with FAA/DoD/EASA requirements. Provide strategic leadership for quality plans, oversee a cross-location team, and drive continuous improvement using Lean and data-driven methods. Manage internal/external audits, CAPA, RCA, and FMEA processes; develop quality plans for new product introductions and process changes; monitor KPIs to identify trends and implement corrective actions. The role requires strong experience in automotive/aerospace quality, familiarity with regulatory standards, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple U.S. and Canadian locations. This hybrid position is based out of Valencia, CA; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; or Shelby, NC, with in-person and remote work as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in quality management
- 5+ years in chemical, aerospace or automotive industry
- Experience managing quality for both commercial and military aerospace programs is ideal
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations, and DoD standards
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, RCA, CAPA
- APQP experience; AS9145 desirable
- Familiarity with inspection and testing techniques (NDT, CMM)
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- CMQ/OE or equivalent certification ideal
- Lead Auditor certification for AS9100 or ISO 9000 or desire to obtain
