Job Summary
Aerospace Quality Engineer Level 1 responsible for evaluating supplier manufacturing capabilities, establishing quality plans through full life-cycle, and disposition of non-conforming materials. Requires strong supplier-facing communication, involvement in QMS audits, and application of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. Hands-on knowledge of mechanical components, RCCA/CAPA focus, and understanding of FMEA and process improvements. Strong documentation, problem-solving, and ability to interact across design, production, and R&D domains. This full-time role includes standard hours with potential overtime, and offers detailed benefits and a competitive hourly pay range.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
- 8+ years of experience in aerospace quality or related field desirable
- Experience with ISO9100/AS9100 QMS
- FAI per AS9102
- FMEA, RCCA, CAPA experience
- SPC
- Process Control
- Inspection methods and protocols
- GD&T
- IPC-610 / J-Std-001 knowledge
- Able to work in a team and communicate effectively
- US citizenship may be required for government contracts
