Job Summary
Ensure appropriate material purchases for projects by coordinating with buyers for accurate, on-time supplier deliveries and overseeing inventory management. Receive plans from other departments to determine material needs, modify production schedules based on process changes, and coordinate with expediters within a complex computerized inventory system. Maintain records for inventory reconciliation, ensure system file security, and enter data into computer systems using Excel and Word. Requires 3-5 years of experience, a degree in business/supply chain/engineering, and knowledge of ISO 9000 and JIT. This role involves working in a shop environment with light physical activity and occasional domestic or international travel.
Required Qualifications
- General computer and office skills including Excel, Word
- A degree in business, supply chain or engineering discipline OR equivalent experience
- Three to Five (3-5) years of experience
- Knowledge of ISO 9000
- Knowledge of JIT
- Knowledge of project management techniques
- Knowledge of manufacturing of airline seats
- Knowledge of estimating methods
- Ability to manage business crisis or short timelines
- Ability to work under a great deal of uncertainty or unpredictability
- Ability to improve processes or procedures
- Problem solving skills
- Able to read and comprehend documentation written in the English language
- Able to read component maintenance manuals (CMM's)
- Walks at least 50% of each workday
- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
