Job Summary
Provide frontline technical support to production teams by referencing documentation, analyzing data, and resolving problems to offer daily direction. Manage small-to-medium process improvement projects, evaluate new technologies, and optimize equipment to reduce scrap and downtime while increasing capacity. Lead root cause and corrective action efforts to eliminate defects, create work instructions, and document experiments. Modernize manufacturing processes by introducing automation to improve capacity and reduce variability. Work onsite 5 days per week in the Huntsville, Alabama plant. This role supports multiple operations involved in the assembly of aircraft transparencies within a complex job-shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Preference for Mechanical, Manufacturing, or similar disciplines
- 3+ years of experience in technical manufacturing roles
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with production associates on the manufacturing floor
- Familiarity with interpreting technical documentation, including drawings/blueprints, bills of materials, material specs, operating procedures, and equipment technical manuals
- Demonstrated familiarity with structured RCCA tools and project management tools
- Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply
- Work onsite 5 days per week in the Huntsville, Alabama plant
