Aerospace Interior Lead Technician

Job Summary
Make repairs to airline seats, lavatories, galleys, and wall panels according to specifications and blueprints. Lead and train other technicians during repairs, especially entry-level staff. Disassemble components, determine malfunctions, and reassemble parts to meet company, customer, and FAA standards. Use bonding materials, fillers, compounds, and sheet metal fabrication to fix defects. Read inspection reports, rework instructions, and schematics to plan operations. Perform plumbing, painting, surface preparation, and electrical wiring repairs. Lubricate moving parts and verify conformance. Must be bilingual with an A&P License and prior aircraft interior experience.
Required Qualifications
- Formal or on the job aircraft repair training
- A&P License
- Experience leading, training and mentoring others
- Experience using hand tools
- Experience using power tools
- Experience using finishing tools
- Must be bilingual with strong English speaking/writing/reading skills
- Ability to disassemble components and make repairs
- Knowledge of theoretical and practical hand and air tool usage
- Ability to follow strict instructions, CMMs, and work in a time-sensitive environment to meet deadlines
- Ability to inspect components for defects or damage
- Metal fabrication & repair
- Knowledge of plastic trim and vacuum formed plastic assembly
- Experience with bonding materials
- Experience with spray adhesives
- Sheet metal fabrication to drawings
- Lubricates moving parts to verify conformance to specifications
- Detect defects or damage
- Repair electrical wiring / components
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Aerospace/FAA experience desired
- Prior Aircraft Interior experience a plus
