Job Summary
Aerospace I.D. Grinder II responsible for producing precision machined parts on CNC spherical grinding equipment. Perform set-ups with minimal supervision, carry out all phases of part-operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance, and conduct in-process quality inspection with accurate records. Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce part quality variation; input data into visual management forms and report results. Must maintain tight tolerances (.0003”) and understand tool offsets, cutting wheel feeds and speeds. Ideal candidates will have AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma experience and be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years experience operating setup on CNC spherical grinding equipment
- Ability to maintain close tolerances within .0003” of IDs, hold .0003
