Job Summary

Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of fixed-wing, rotary-wing, and hybrid UAV platforms from concept through production. Perform advanced aerodynamic analysis and simulations to refine designs for efficiency and stability, while developing and integrating electric, hybrid, and conventional propulsion systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate avionics, sensors, and payloads, ensuring mission readiness. Conduct structural analysis to validate air-frame integrity, followed by prototyping and rigorous wind tunnel and flight testing. Optimize designs for manufacturability, material selection, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, and other industry standards. Document design processes and technical specifications for stakeholders. Stay informed on UAV technology trends to contribute innovative ideas. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Aerospace Engineering with demonstrated experience in UAV design, aerodynamics, propulsion, and structural analysis. Proficiency in CAD and simulation tools is essential.

  • Deep knowledge of propulsion systems
  • Deep knowledge of structural analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA)
  • Advanced proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, CFD, XFOIL)
  • Strong understanding of avionics
  • Strong understanding of sensor integration
  • Strong understanding of flight control systems specific to UAVs
  • Familiarity with UAV industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with electric and hybrid propulsion technologies
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning applications in UAVs for autonomous operation
  • Hands-on experience in UAV flight testing, including test planning and execution
  • Experience with remote sensing technologies and integrating them into UAV platforms
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, including timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams
