Job Summary

Lead flight control system development, aircraft modeling, and simulation while analyzing flight dynamics and supporting ground and flight test operations. Design, integrate, and test autopilots; develop and validate models for subsystems including payloads, engines, transmissions, and sensors. Conduct qualification testing for avionics and flight control systems, and mentor junior engineers. Requires a secret security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with at least seven years of experience in flight dynamics modeling and flight test data analysis. Excellent documentation skills and knowledge of engineering practices such as requirement tracking and peer review are essential.

Required Qualifications

  • Active or the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring (requires US Citizenship)
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience to include development and/or refinement of flight dynamics models; work with flight test data to include flight test support and flight data analysis, and/or familiarity with aircraft performance, aerodynamic design, non-linear system identification, and flight control system design and analysis
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position
  • Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process
