Job Summary
Assemble electro-mechanical products in accordance with engineering instructions, performing precision tasks including cable and harness fabrication, soldering, and continuity checks. Apply technical standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 to ensure manufactured hardware complies with quality requirements while working from technical manuals. Identify and resolve issues using judgment to maintain a collaborative manufacturing environment. Complete detailed records of work and perform other duties as assigned within an ESD production environment. Availability includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with overtime and weekends as requested. Located in Chantilly, VA, with occasional flexibility to Fairfax.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience or 2 yrs post-Secondary /Associates Degree with 0 -2 yrs prior related experience
- Basic ability in the utilization of computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must have availability to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts as scheduled
- Overtime and weekends may be requested to fulfill needs
- Primarily located in Chantilly with flexibility to occasionally work in Fairfax
- Occasionally lifting up 25 lbs
- Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products, or operate machinery
- Additionally, must be able to pass visual requirements per J-STD-001, including both near vision and color vision testing
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with electronics or cable assemblies
- Experience with circuit board level soldering and desoldering
- Experience with masking, conformal coating, connector potting, components taking, or component bonding
