Job Summary
Complete brazing processes and operate manufacturing equipment including heat treat ovens, precision cleaning, polishing, laser I.D, and pressure test machines. Remove burrs and irregularities from machined parts to meet engineering blueprints and tolerance requirements while performing inspections and tests against manufacturing standards. Utilize hand tools, shears, grinders, and tube bending equipment to assemble components, maintaining proper part identification and accurate documentation. Clean and organize the cellular manufacturing work area per established standards to reduce scrap and improve throughput. Requires high school education, 1-2 years of experience with pressure testing and deburring, and the ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T specifications. U.S. citizenship required with eligibility for a government security clearance if needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 1-2 years of experience manufacturing small parts completing the following processes: Pressure testing, deburring, polishing, cleaning and identifying parts
- Must be able to read, understand and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings and follow planning instructions
- Familiar with GD&T specifications and capable of performing basic inspections based on engineering drawings
- Ability to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators etc.
- Attention to detail, ability to perform multiple tasks at the same time
- Demonstrates strong organizational and collaborative skills in a fast-paced environment
- Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)
- U.S. Citizenship status
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed
- Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing for the following controlled substances: marijuana, cocaine, PCP, amphetamines, opioids and alcohol
