Aerospace and Defense Supplier Specialist

Job Summary

Develop partnership relationships with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements and manage Open Order Reports to minimize risk and improve delivery. Track delivery performance trends, initiate root cause analysis, and facilitate timely closure of corrective actions while working with problematic sub-tiers to establish achievable production commitments. Drive cross-functional communication to prevent unnecessary delays and provide frequent written updates on mission-critical parts and overall delivery performance. Requires US citizenship, five to ten years of manufacturing experience, and periodic local travel.

Required Qualifications

  • US citizenship
  • Minimum of five to ten years of manufacturing experience
  • Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment motor vehicle history check
  • Expertise in Supply Chain Management
  • Expertise in Production Control
  • Expertise in Shop Floor Management
  • Experience with continuous improvement
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience with Risk Management
  • Experience with Six Sigma
  • Experience with Kaizen events
  • Experience with PDCA
  • Strong Project Management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs

Desired Qualifications

  • Aerospace, Defense, Ship Building, or Submarine Industry experience
  • College degree
