Job Summary
Aerospace and Defense Sales Engineer in a Baltimore-based lab role building a defense/aerospace customer base across the Mid-Atlantic. You will work with the lab and business development teams to prospect, develop, and win defense testing opportunities across EMC, environmental simulation, reliability, and wireless disciplines; manage the full sales cycle from cold outreach to proposal and program award; support witness testing events on-site; translate testing requirements into service offerings and prepare technical proposals, SOWs, and capability presentations while guiding customers on standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160 and related defense qualification requirements; you will engage with prime contractors, Tier 1 suppliers, government program offices, and defense research agencies, and build relationships at technical and program management levels. Requirements include U.S. citizenship or green card, 5+ years in defense/aerospace programs, strong communication, and ability to operate in a lab environment; preferred experience includes familiarity with ITAR, EAR, CMMC, and knowledge of defense standards and security clearances; a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field (equivalent experience considered) is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) - required for ITAR and CMMC compliance; this requirement cannot be waived
- 5+ years of experience working within or directly supporting U.S. defense or aerospace programs - prime contractor, Tier 1 supplier, government lab, program office, or defense-focused testing environment
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with defense customers at the technical and program management level
- Familiarity with how defense programs are structured, how testing requirements flow from contract to execution, and how defense customers evaluate and select test partners
- Comfortable with greenfield sales - prospecting, cold outreach, event networking, and building a pipeline from zero
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with the ability to represent Eurofins credibly to program managers, engineers, and contracting officers
- Comfortable being present and engaged in a working lab environment on a daily basis
