Job Summary
Aeronautical Production Specialist responsible for extracting, analyzing, validating, and maintaining Airfield Foundation Data (AFD) features from imagery and geospatial sources per NGA specifications; perform data acquisition, evaluation, mensuration, and QA/QC to ensure accuracy of airfield infrastructure data (runways, taxiways, navigational aids, ATC towers, hangars) and support mission-critical aviation, intelligence, and operational planning. Responsibilities include creating and updating technical documentation, collaborating with team members to resolve data discrepancies, ensuring production milestones and deliverables are met, and contributing to production workflows and database updates.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- CI Polygraph eligibility or willingness to obtain
- 1–3 years geospatial feature collection/validation/finishing with points/lines/polygons
- Basic knowledge of airfield infrastructure including runways, taxiways, navigational aids, air traffic control towers, hangars
- Experience imagery analysis and mensuration
- Ability to understand/update technical documentation supporting production requirements
- Strong attention to data quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
