Job Summary
Design and iterate aerodynamic surfaces and OMLs using CAD, then own the CFD workflow covering geometry generation, meshing, solving, automation, and post-processing. Develop and maintain aerodynamic databases for aircraft performance, loads, and stability while processing computational and experimental data to create surrogate models for design and flight dynamics. Support analysis of high-lift, blown-wing, and propulsion–airframe interactions, and develop internal tools, scripts, and workflows. Document analyses and maintain robust, version-controlled datasets. Join LAT Aerospace's Civil Team to contribute to next-generation systems including hybrid electric aircraft, defense platforms, and gas turbine engines.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in external steady and unsteady aerodynamics simulations
- Strong fundamentals in aerodynamics, aircraft performance, and stability & control
- Software agnostic in low fidelity and high fidelity simulations
- Strong Python/MATLAB skills for CFD automation, data processing, and engineering analysis
- Experience building and working with aerodynamic databases and large datasets
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with high-lift, blown-wing, UAV, or other unconventional aircraft aerodynamics
