Construct analytical models for internal flow phenomena within tanks, diffusers, and fluid networks while modeling flight mechanics and dynamics. Manage CFD workflows from CAD through pre-processing, execution, and post-processing, and generate aerodynamic loads and high-altitude plume models. Support wind tunnel and flight testing by performing data reduction and post-flight analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 4+ years of experience with space vehicle aerodynamics, aerothermodynamics, or flight mechanics
  • Strong aerodynamic fundamentals and intuition through multiple flight regimes (subsonic, transonic, supersonic, hypersonic, free molecular flow)
  • Strong technical solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience with aerodynamic model development
  • Demonstrated experience with automation and data manipulation using scripting and programming languages
  • Proven experience with CFD workflow from CAD through pre-processing, running and post processing
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  • Passion for our mission and vision is required

Desired Qualifications

  • MS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience in launch, spacecraft, and reentry systems
