Job Summary
Aerodynamics Engineer I focused on developing and executing CFD analyses for vehicle entry stability and control, validating CFD approaches for ascent/entry, and maturing aerodynamics data tooling. Responsibilities include designing and evaluating CFD databases (with uncertainty quantification from CFD, wind tunnel, and empirical data), guiding hardware engineers to meet aerodynamics and system-level requirements, and contributing to tool development for aerodynamics data processing. Ideal candidates will have hands-on CFD/CFD tool experience, familiarity with scripting (Python or Matlab), exposure to wind tunnel data, and a collaborative, fast-paced environment mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or related field
- Proficiency in compressible flow
- Familiarity with Python or Matlab
