Job Summary
Perform aircraft performance analysis to support design decision support, requirement verification, and flight manual chart generation. Generate and process aircraft aerodynamic characteristic data using hand analysis, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and wind tunnel testing. Build and utilize aircraft aerodynamic databases to support assessments and perform performance analyses across various flight phases. This 1st shift role is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring a U.S. Security Clearance and ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Relocation is offered based on eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience in performing aircraft aerodynamic assessments
- Experience in building and utilizing aircraft aerodynamic databases to support aerodynamic assessments
- Experience in performing aircraft performance assessments for various phases of flight
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK
- Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in engineering, with Aerodynamics or Aerospace emphasis
- 7+ years of experience in performing aircraft aerodynamic assessments
- Background with aircraft performance analysis and certification for military aircraft
- Experience in planning/conducting wind tunnel testing, and with processing wind tunnel data
- 3+ years of experience in performing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis or processing CFD-derived data to support analyses
- Programming experience (e.g. Python, FORTRAN), particularly in supporting aerodynamic analyses
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
