Job Summary
Lead structured group and private Pilates Mat and Reformer sessions focused on core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and proper alignment. Demonstrate exercises using correct form, clearly explain movements, and modify routines to accommodate participants with varying fitness levels or physical limitations. Closely monitor technique to ensure safety, answer member questions, and maintain a clean, sanitized studio environment. Track attendance, inspect equipment for maintenance needs, and adhere to all club policies. Requires current Mat and Reformer certifications, CPR/AED/First Aid, and at least one year of teaching experience. Available for four classes weekly across various times.
Required Qualifications
- current Pilates Mat and Reformer certifications from a nationally recognized organization, such as Balanced Body, STOTT Pilates, Peak Pilates, or an equivalent program
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
- Minimum of one year of Pilates teaching or coaching experience
- Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, body mechanics, and safe exercise modifications
- Excellent communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills
- Positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to provide exceptional service within a private-club environment
- Must be available to teach at least four Pilates Mat and Reformer classes per week
- Must be able to stand, bend, stretch, kneel, and demonstrate Pilates movements throughout each session
- Must be able to safely adjust and operate Pilates Reformer equipment
- Must be able to lift, carry, and arrange fitness equipment and props as required
- Must possess the physical stamina and mobility necessary to lead classes safely and effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Comprehensive Pilates certification consisting of 450 or more training hours
- two or more years of Pilates teaching or coaching experience
