Aero PDE Industrialization and GT Compressor Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Lead the Aero Industrialization and GT Compressor teams in Queretaro by transforming engineering design intent into product definition using advanced CAD and model-based engineering. Execute innovative new product designs with 3D models, PMI, GD&T, and specifications while managing deliverables to meet NPI, REQ, and FPC budgets. Resolve emergent issues for customers, services, repair, and supply chain; drive technical growth through tools like TGM and EVGM. Directly impact product margins via cost-out plans and oversee NCN execution, engineering change revisions, and root cause analysis. Partner globally with engineering and manufacturing organizations to align priorities, implement Lean principles, and promote a strong quality culture. Coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and resolve team conflicts while representing the team during budget planning cycles. Manage third-party purchase agreements and software resources to support the Digital Thread strategy and advance manufacturing competitiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Power Generation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership (including executives) in Spanish and English
  • Able to present key data effectively and clearly
  • Communicate assertively
  • Experience in managing budgets, HC, and program progress
  • Experience coordinating relevant projects with autonomy/ownership
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills or the ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage programs, projects, orders, activities, or systems
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Conflict Resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with Design and other engineering counterparts
  • Resilience and effective collaboration during high demand/pressure scenarios
  • Ability to assess and understand complex processes in a short amount of time
  • Through process expertise, ability to lean out processes to remove waste and non-value-added routines
  • Must currently have a band level equivalent to SPB3 as minimum to apply for this position
  • Only GEVQ Gas Power candidates will be considered for this position

  • Experience leading resources on multiple NPI programs
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and budget management
  • Able to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers
  • Proven ability to achieve business targets
  • Experience leading, working across global teams and building partnerships
  • Familiarity with NX and PLM
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Understanding of Lean principles
