Aero Packaging PDE Sr. Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Lead the Aero Packaging PDE team in executing innovative new product designs using advanced CAD technology and Model Based Engineering fundamentals. Deliver 3D model-based designs with PMI, GD&T, specifications, Bill of Materials, and documentation while managing deliverables to meet NPI, REQ, and FPC budgets. Resolve emergent issues for customers, services, repair, manufacturing, and supply chain. Prioritize technical growth through tools such as TGM and EVGM, drive cost out plans to impact product margins, and partner with global engineering organizations to align priorities. Promote continuous improvement via Lean principles, oversee NCN execution and engineering change revisions, and manage third-party procurement agreements. Conduct performance reviews, resolve team conflicts, and maintain a productive environment with an SQDC mindset.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • minimum of 5 years of experience in Power Generation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with peers and leadership (including executives) in Spanish and English
  • Able to present key data effectively and clearly
  • Communicate assertively
  • Experience in managing of budgets, HC, and program progress
  • Experience coordinating relevant projects with autonomy/ownership
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • ability to document, plan, market, execute, control, close, and manage programs, projects, orders, activities, or systems
  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Conflict Resolution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with Design and other engineering counterparts
  • Resilience and effective collaboration during high demand/pressure scenarios
  • Ability to assess and understand complex processes in a short amount of time
  • Through process expertise, ability to lean out processes to remove waste and non-value-added routines
  • Only GEVQ Gas Power candidates will be considered for this position
  • The candidate must currently have a band level equivalent to SPB3 as minimum to apply for this position

  • Experience leading resources on multiple NPI programs
  • Demonstrated leadership capability and budget management
  • Able to interface effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers
  • Proven ability to achieve business targets
  • Experience leading, working across global teams and building partnerships
  • Familiarity with NX and PLM
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Understanding of Lean principles
