Job Summary
Lead Vehicle Aero Dynamics Technical Specifications and Development & Validation activities with External Service Providers to meet performance, quality, timing, and cost targets. Conduct root cause analysis on design proposals and provide technical solutions for problem mitigation. Deliver weekly progress reports to the Program Attributes Manager, escalating critical hard points requiring leadership support. Manage multi-functional engineering teams, oversee competitor benchmarking, and optimize Electric Vehicle geometries using 3D CAD and CFD tools. Requires Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer background with 5+ years in EV Aero Dynamics fundamentals, CFD, and Wind Tunnel testing.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience (5+ years)
- Solid knowledge in Electric Vehicle Aero Dynamics Fundamentals
- CFD techniques
- Wind Tunnel testing
- Solid experience in developing Aero Dynamics Management strategies
- Experience in reducing drag and wind noise
- Minimizing noise emission
- Preventing undesired lift forces
- Other causes of aerodynamic instability at high speeds
- Design and develop new Electric Vehicles geometries
- Control surface shapes
- Meet Aero Dynamics efficiency requirements
- Heavy emphasis in 3D CAD
- CFD tools
- Experienced with competitors bench-marking activities
- Solid experience in physical Aero Dynamics vehicle testing (Wind Tunnel)
- Reporting
